K-home provided more than 100 prefabricated modular container classroom for the Kenyan Rural Poverty School Reconstruction Project in East Africa. These mobile devices are used as temporary classrooms, kitchens and bathing as part of the school's expansion project.
Of the 100 units, 75 are classrooms, assembled from standard containers (6 x 3x28.m) prefabricated houses, 15 are kitchens, 10 of which are bathing facilities, each prefabricated to a single width (6 x 3 m) unit. Each unit includes the required circuit lighting and sockets, as well as standard blackboards and tables and chairs for each classroom.
“We experienced an unexpected high student enrollment rate at the beginning of the year,” James explained. “They decided to actively participate in the resource planning for the 2019 school year and use the expanded school area efficiently.”
